Who

Dr. Poonam Pal, is a physiotherapist working in private practice for a year. Prior to working in private practice she worked at Changi General Hospital (CGH) for nearly a decade.  She completed a PhD from University of Otago in 2010. In 2017, was awarded a Ministry of Health Scholarship for my study in Masters of Health Practice in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. She has worked in various organizations in Singapore including KK Womens’ and Childrens’ Hospital, Society of Physically Disabled and Republic Polytechnic.

Her areas of clinical practice at CGH were outpatient musculoskeletal services with focus on spine & post-op spine rehabilitation and musculoskeletal A&E services. She is the service lead for these two areas. Dr. Pal was also a part of the multidisciplinary pain service at CGH &  conducted the physiotherapy section of the chronic pain psycho-educational program for chronic pain patients. This program has now attained hospital approval to run for suitable chronic pain patients from 2021. Additionally, Dr. Pal was also the Singapore Sports physiotherapist for the world athletic championship for para-athletes held in Dubai 2019. During the COVID-19 period she was the designated outpatient physiotherapist that covered urgent physiotherapy services at outpatients and at A&E.
